Siegerrebe

Our new bottling of Siegerrebe has a profile of …. This grape is well known for producing these wonderful flavors, which makes it a great pairing with a mild curry dish or even spicy Thai recipes.  This summer favorite is now available from our tasting room and wine subscription club.

As reported, 2007 was a cool long season.  This has certain advantages, yet can come with limitations too.  In the case of our Siegerrebe, it came with disadvantages; a very low harvest.  This unfortunately low yield was due to stresses of this cool weather: poor nutrient up-take by the vines and extreme mildew pressure, leading to a poor fruit set.

What does this mean?  We have only 1/3 of our usually harvest!  This wine will be very scarce this year and will be on allocation.  To assure that you can get some of this year’s wine, we recommend a subscription: sign up for our wine club, and we will save bottles to be shipped to you on a regular basis (or pick up option to save$).  Please see page for more information.
