2009 Siegerrebe
“Excellent: Brent Charnley annually achieves success with his organic expression of this little known variety. It opens with a slightly orangey hue, and the aromas include Mandarin orange, grapefruit, cling peach, dried apricot, lime, coconut, rose petal and hints of Bananas Foster. There's follow through on the palate with more grapefruit and white peach as the acidity keeps on coming via gooseberry, Granny Smith apple, starfruit and Meyer lemon. Serve confidently with seafood.”

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot
“Recommended: While the Salish Sea is home to Brent Charnley’s estate vineyards for his white program, he taps into Crawford Vineyard in Prosser, Wash., and Red Mountain’s End of the Road for this 80/20 blend. It’s a nose full of Swisher Sweet Cigar, black cherry, boysenberry and cedar, followed by cherry pie and huckleberry flavors with youthful tannins and lively acidity that will benefit from some time.”

“Recommended: Pink Grapefruit, starfruit, quince, and flavors make for a mouthwatering drink that’s capped by ripe cantaloupe and passion fruit.”

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot
“Recommended. Here’s a lightly structured blend with lots of strands that tie rather nicely together. Pomegranate, root beer, horehound, green peppercorns, citrus and milk chocolate aromas delve into a quick burst of raspberry flavors with cranberry acidity, edgy tannins and some milk chocolate in the finish. ”

2006 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
“Excellent. It opens with notes of Blueberry, pomegranate, cherry, malted milk balls, spearmint, brown sugar and lots of cedar. Sweet blueberries bounce across the silky palate, followed by more cherries, chocolate and cedar. A pinch of green peppercorns in the finish would suggest a pairing of pepper steak.
